6 Brass Balance The ( Wetherspoons) 39 to 47 Argyle Street 39 to 47

Me and my friends go there before we go to that club @75

Dont get pubs with no music.

we only go there while we wait for @75 to open

Not been there for about 18 months used to enjoy the beer there but i found the temp staff there very cocky and has put me off the place now,not that i drink in birkenhead anymore.

it has quite a good atmosphere in there on a saturday night

only been there a couple of times like

we used to go to the reolver but we got kicked out of there because my mate wouldn't put her shoes back on she we decide to go to @75 which has a very good atmosphere in there because they play decent music

The Brass Balance in Birkenhead opened in May 2001 and belongs to the nationally-popular Wetherspoons pub chain. In the early 19th century the area the building now occupies was empty ground which sat adjacent to St. Paul’s Church and at the rear of the Theatre Royal. By the close of the century the land had been industriously utilised and upon it there then stood several businesses:

No.39 - Eliza Latham, dress maker, worked from here.

No.41 – The Provident Clothing Club, managed by Sam Kershaw.

No.43 – Jason Moore, a cabinet maker.

No.45 – W.B Dobell & Co. Colliery Proprietors.

No.47 – The Birkenhead Club Company Ltd, Secretary Isaac Stubbert

In the early 20th century the firm of W & T Avery, weighing machine manufacturers moved in and occupied numbers 39-41 with one large factory. It is this company from which the present pub acquired its name.

Aright little boozer this.
Used to drink there and have my lunch there when I worked in town.
I wudn't go there after work with friends,no music and not my scene for night life

Best Wetherspoons in Wirral this one...
