Well, no takers for this one; I'm quite pleased really since I'm rather involved with some modifications in my wife's house. (To clarify, we're separated but still good friends). I'll try for another date later, probably September.

"Hi, folks; would anyone care to join me on a "guided tour" of some areas I know from childhood? I'm thinking Storeton woods & quarries/Port Sunlight/Bromborough Pool. About 3-4 hours, not strenuous, driving between locations. I want to see what the response is & then fix a suitable date, maybe in August or September".
Just a re-cap of this idea. If the weather is anything like it is today (some hope), I'm thinking of trying this outing next Sunday, 28th.September. After that, my weekends are looking a bit busy with driving events.
Could anyone interested please post here.
