Dont spose anyone has seen this have they??

When Ive been to Hooton Park Kart Track, I often see a Modified Citroen Berlingo, that not only looks fantastic, but also carries the fellas kart and his toolbox, some spares etc.

Its Gold and Green Flip Paint

Looks like its been lowered at least 100mm on nice 17" Rims. Sometimes it looks tacky, but other times it really just sits nicely, especially with the suspension job.

Anyone seen this around??

Ive a feeling it may be in Ellesmere Port or somewhere in that general Direction

Oh aye yea, really stands out, something a bit different from the standard Modified corsas and saxos etc etc

really looks like some time and effort has been put into it.

And, Practical. Means you can have your race kart, take it to the track at weekends, and still look good. Not giving up on life by buying a Transit van, or a Motor home

Because I have a Race Kart, so Id need a vehicle that could allow me to take it to Race Tracks, as well as spares and toolboxes etc etc...

Id rather have one of them, than a Pikey Transit van, or a caravan.

If you have a trailer, you have to have a towbar, which just ruins anything you may have done to the car

The karts pretty much ready, picking the engine up at the weekend (Hopefully).... The problem is getting it places.

Id rather have a nice looking van to carry the kart and stuff, than have to keep my micra, and have like a transit or a trailer.

Its just an idea at the mo, cos I havent the money to do anything as we speak. But meh, Ill see how it goes...

Indeed, the first turbo'd car I went in was an escort van, it was rapid.

I dont give a fk if its super quick..and got a cossie engine in it..its still a van..end of!
If your gonna modify something..do something tasefully...and something worth while...otherwise dont bother
like the sad muppetts who spend 50k on modifying a saxo..cuz they want a different car...
why not just buy a half decent car in the first place.
Sometimes less is more if you know what i mean!

Well, how should I go about taking my Kart all over the country, taking into account I barely have enough to run my micra, and still wanting to keep an air of youth and taste about me??

I rest my case...spend the money on the kart..get a van...and DONT MODIFY IT..that will save you some money..and you will keep your dignity and possibly some respect.
better to turn up in a shed and have a shit hot kart..and beat everyone than have a flash van, shit kart nad drive like a tool..know what i mean

I know what you mean yea, but the Kart has had all the money spent on it now (well, when I get the engine finally).

Your not allowed to tweak them in racing standard, cos it upsets the level playing field, and makes your engine illegal.

Plus, there is a good chance The only vehicle I could afford would be one to move that thing around in, so an estate or van is a good idea. Good Looking estates I couldnt afford, plus it would be very difficult to pull in a Transit Van

You can get an old audi 100 estate...or even a 1.9 tdi a4..for 1500 quid at most!!!
And with reference to pulling in a transit... remember as much as we as the male of the species would like to think having a flash car will get us the hottest women..im afraid we are deluding ourselves.

Buy the silver one..get the blonde one free is not true!

Its not the car..my gfriend (who is stunning btw) thinks my car is only driven by complete cocks...(God knows why shes with me then!)..and the first time i pulled up in it she admitted she thought I was going to be a tool...
must of done something right...lol

"Sweeping generalisations"....look up big words before you use them you obtuse individual.

Ad it seems to be you making the sweeping generalisation at the fact our constabulary are judgemental clowns!!!

The comment is directed at YOU! and therefore FAR from any sweeping generalisation.

Heres one for you, all policemen are bribe taking, donut munching idiots who where to stupid too finish school! is it true? of course not but I bet it pisses you off when people tell you "I pay your wages" just as it pisses me off when people act as if vans and their drivers are ... of the earth!!!!!!!! happy

p.s before you refer to me as an open angle while trying to call me stupid, learn how to spell "and" you moron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my mates who races the white Civic worked for RNW.

We tried to talk him in to loading 3 cars on to his wagon and driving them to the circuits for us - only thing was, it wored out cheaper to tow 3 cars seperatly than to fuel the truck raftl

Well, funn you say that.
One race weekend at Anglesey, the Irish lads all came over, in their saloons and Global GT Lights. The Globals all came together on the same truck, they just took their rear wings and front bodywork off, and they managed to fit about 15 of them into one truck.

It was madness, seeing them bein brought out, was an endless stream

Well, 4 cars on the truck would have worked out cheaper, but with the tractor unit doing less than 10mpg and the cars doing 36-38mpg towing....

15 cars on the truck!!! Hell thats gonna be a bargain to get them all to the circuit grin

Well it made sense, as theyre as small as Matchbox cars, plus they all had to come over on the ferry.

Needless to say though, they gave some good racing. The Irish always do, they're mad hahahaha raftl

Well as I say, he needs a van because he does karting, so needs to drag the kart, toolboxes, and any other things like easy ups, tents, spare wheels and parts etc...

He gets all that in there, and still looks good laugh
