Id say it was screwed as well. I went past it yesterday with Adam in the Starlet, it was pointing the other way, and it flashed at an invisable car

Maybe its just been set like to remind people that they can be flashed??? I mean, people do seem forget about speed camera's and things and reguarly drive way over the limits. Not everyone sits down the rock like we do, so most people wont be aware there is a problem with it. In this case, people who see it going off, will be reminded that they should stick to the speed limits to be safe. Also, if it is randomly flashing people, then these people are probably less likely to think about speeding anywhere, at least for a few weeks! Not a conventional theory I know, but I am pretty sure they would have had it fixed/turned off by now if it was broken. Only 24% of camera's on Merseyside are active at any given time anyway. This is official from the local speed camera enforcement service.

It flashed me on sunday doing a tad over 20 (due to a quueue up ahead) and it flashed as i was going towards it with no1 on the other side of the road (invisable car) yesterday
So i'd say its broken,that area is awful for speeding tho,police are there a lot hiding between the KFC and the SHELL
