R Reg Freelander problem
An electrical fault appeared suddenly. When the hazard light button is pressed the hazard lights do not operate. Similarly when the key fob is pressed to lock/ unlock the doors there is no longer the usual "flash" of all the indicator lights (but the doors do lock and unlock)
However - the direction indicators operate normally.
I persuaded a Land Rover garage to loan me a hazard flasher relay and swapped that - did not cure the problem.
Hazard switch faulty ?? Maybe, but anyway I would not know how to get at it to change it.
Anyone any other ideas?

Or possibly the alarm.
You say no flashing from the phob. And no flashing from the hazard button?
My guess would be where they meet ?

I'd go commit suicide I think it sounds like the controler unit has gone, try www.findapart.co.uk or have you checked the hazard fuse(s)? I THINK so. A problem with the Freelander (correction, ONE of the problems with the Freelander) is that all of the fuses are not in the main fuse box. There seem to be sub-boxes and min-controllers all over the place. The wiring diagram looks like a spaghetti-maker's nightmare and so it is difficult (for me) to work out the locations of all of the fuses. Even for the main fuse box I did not trust that the fuse numbers said to be those for flashers and hazard were REALLY those - so I pulled each one and checked them. All were OK. However, I guess it is possible there is another fuse somewhere. Snod
