Second pair are of Egremont, Seabank Road showing the entrance to the Mariner's Park. Mariner's Park was started in 1880 by William Cliff in memory of his daughter and opened in 1882 with just two cottage homes - extending to near 90 units today

noticed the other day someone had modified the wall opposite manor road (with a car or sumfin)

The wall has always been rearranged by cars ever since i was a kid.Its even had the odd bus try to park in there doh

It's probably because the road is quite a "fast" one (not legally) and the bends can take people by surprise, especially in the wet when doing excessive speed.

I used to play in the old mariners home when it was derelict before they pulled it down.It was a well creepy place and the old tower was full of bats.It would of made an excellent U/E location

Of course, NOW if they found it was full of bats then they would slap a preservation order on the place. The bat population is declining rapidly and fair enough they do need preserving. I bet there are LOADS in that big old house next door
