When I was in the hospital a couple of weeks back, I was told my BMI was excellent... my endurance is excellent, my stamina is summit to be desired, although when its summit like UE my body kicks into action like a Toyota Hilux!!

funny thing age, at 14 it was a great place now its dangerous lol, and to add to the rumours vehicles where behind the door but i find that hard to believe, back then any vehicles to do with the hill were usually astra gte's burnt out on the top of the hill lol, it was always said to be the ammo store/dump according to my ancient aunt who still lives on hoylake road and remembers the first carraiges going along it with a new fangled invention attached called the wheel!! the only thing that she remembers that actually linked to the obbo was a power supply for the siren maybe old cable diagrams could solve this, i do remember various marker posts on the hill indicating underground cables, mind you about 16 years ago when i was last up there, a massive fire had wiped out most of the trees so loads of stuff was 'discovered' when the trees and undergrowth went up in smoke (and a few astras)

if anyone gets pictures can the email me a few, i miss that part of the world. and here is one for you all, do you know why the rods is called the rods??

its called the rods because of the rhododendrons that grow in that area and on the hill.if you look back through several books on the hill there are records of people being fined for picking them:>

Are nothing now compared to the old pictures that show them flowers growing. They looked amazing... I'm not a gardener person but the pictures i have seen are so crisp and tidy, not now with the over growth etc...
