I have a collection of books here called "The Wirral Journal" which ranges from volume 3, issue 8 (winter 1987) to volume 9, issue 4 (spring 1999) and also a book called "yesterdays wirral" which has some interesting pictures in. I'll scan them in fair quality and put them in PDF format to share with other members so you can have a read or a look  If you find an image in one of the books that you would like a high resolution copy of, let me know

The first book is quite large in file size being 15mb, but I will ensure the rest of the books are around half that size.
