today spent a little time sorting out, my leaking master cylinder. it had a small leak into the booster, so bought a master cylinder seal kit from minispares and fitted it today. just have to bleed the brakes (again) tomorrow.

fitted my era turbo bonnet scoop. for those who don't know, rover did a limited run of a few turbo minis. the company who carried out the conversions (Era), put metro turbo engines in them. they had a body kit fitted to them, and this bonnet vent (but obviously not in carbon)

spent no time messing around and got the dremel out. i've decided to fit this under the bonnet rather than on top, just for a smoother look. bonded it on first, and have fiberglassed over the underneath. i got some sort of body/seam sealer from work, which is shit hot, so the black on the scoop is that, but i'll clean it up when its cured.

also have watched my bonnet pins slowly corrode on the front, i thought i use some of those aerocatches again. i bought the ones that fit on top, rather than flush just to save on more bodywork, work. got them test fitted and shall spray them tomorrow.

i wouldn't destroy this mini by fitting a scooby scoop to it! its main function is to let hot air from around the turbo out.

heres a pic of an era turbo mini

been doing some modifying on the cheap this weekend. still waiting for my alarm to arrive, so i went up the road and bought some leather like fabric for £5. some cutting and sowing later, and i have a nice gear and handbrake gaitor for alot less than what it costs in the shops!

i have security! installed a clifford g5 arrow 5.1 alarm to my car over the past 2 days.

now because i have installed it myself it isn't thatcham approved, but i only bought it for my own piece of mind. when this is finally on the road i do plan on fitting a central locking kit to it, and i can just wire that into the alarm aswell.

what i got

well the red wire is the live, the green is a sensor wire, amd the orange.......well i forgot what the orange did, but it definately goes somewhere.

tbh is a piece of piss compared to these modern cars! note the haynes manual in the footwell!

more random images, due to changing the seal on the master cylinder, i needed to bleed the brakes, again! also tried some bpr7es spark plugs in as its what everyone reccomends for turbo engines, and it actually runs worse on them! so i poped back the b8es in.
