It sounds like the HGF isnt bad if its still fine to drive without overheating - you considered K-Sealing it and lumping it onto eBay?

I know loads of drivers on the MGR forums swear by K-Seal and one guy has been running on it for 20,000miles plus with no problems.

If the HGF is only minor, its fine to K-Seal it without needing further work.

got the engine bay pics? need to know is a spi or mpi

The 1.4 GTa is SPI im pretty sure of it (from my time on the MGR forums).
