After a bit of research I discovered that if more than 6 people live at one address or there is a child in disposible nappies at an address, then the said address is entitled to an extra green bin to put your non-recyclible waste in. Phone Street-Scene on 0151 - 606 2004, between 09.00am and 5.00pm. My better half rung them the other day, told them that seven people are living at our address, of which two are babies, both in disposible nappies. No questions asked, their response was "We will deliver a 2nd green bin to your address within 10days, sorry for any inconveince" Wahoo Will keep you posted on whether it arrives.

If there is 6 people or more living at an address Mark, they will NEED the second bin, they wont be flogging it I dont think people should be ringing up for bins to sell them - especially people who are complaining about fortnightly collections. They cost money, money which could be put into extra collections. Even more so with the fortnightly collections.

If there is 6 people or more living at an address Mark, they will NEED the second bin Exactly!! Why dont the Council already know this info though, and issue an extra bin rather than wait for you to ask

It isn't the council's responsibility to look for addresses with more people in order to issue additional bins, that would take more man-hours out of their schedule, ending up costing us. So it is us that need to notify the council rather than being spoon fed. Why can't we just accept the fact that we need to work with the council for things to actually run better? IMO
