I personally think it will be 1-1, of course im hoping we beat Chelsea, but I think both teams should be quite tight at the back. Will be interesting to see who Rafa the tinker man plays up front. Most probably the lacklustre Bellamy and Kuyt, he dont seem to like Crouch n Fowler much, probably a bit too English.

Most of the team were rested against Wigan, and the ones that did play were noticeably off the pace (probably told to take it easy) so we should be fielding a near fully fit squad.

Come on Liverpool!

1-0 to Chelsea... not too bad, at least we still have a great chance and they havent finsihed us off.

But one has to question Rafa's tactics, I dont think we really turned up tonight, Gerrard looked a shadow of the player we know he can be.

And as for Kuyt and Bellamy, well I really want to know why Rafa insists on playing "strikers" who don't know what a goal looks like.

Overall a bit peeved off, mainly with the odd way Rafa does things, not too bad though, still got a great chance at Anfield next week.

Have said all along Chelsea will win the european cup this year betting us along the way.

We will score at home but i dont think we can shut Chelsea out think we will win 2-1 and go out on the away goals rule.

And why the hell did rafa take bellamy off before zendon.

Wernt really interested to be honest, we wernt playing for a win, or anything really, the team that was fielded was weak. We just wanted to get Pompey out of the way in preperation for the Chelsea return leg on Tuesday.

Were still 4 points ahead of Arsenal and they only got one game in hand over us (which they play against Fulham today).

I think the attitude was treat the game like a training match, and do get any injuries.

Its a bit naughty really like cos it means Pompey have now moved into contention for a UEFA Cup place with us pretty much letting them win... its almost like match fixing, kind of unfair on other teams. But its just the circumstances of the games and the time its been played, they got lucky.

Just a reminder, although you probably won't need it with it being the biggest local game of the season.

I dunno tonight, Chelsea have injuries galore and are probably deflated after their draw on Saturday. But we'll see.

2 goals to win, but only if they dont score. Once they score, it means we need 3 goals as they would then have the away advantage.

But with the current injury list they have its quite possible for us to win this with a fair amount of ease, it just depends whether Rafa sends the boys out to score goals (ie. PLAY CROUCH!!!) or sends them out for a relaxed testimonial match (ie. play shuyt and hellsbellls - kuyt and bellamy who cant score to save their lives).

Liverpool v AC Milan

Aye a quality game tonight, Man Utd were torn apart, cant wait for the final now, a replay of the 2005 final hehe.

After watching AC Milan playing against Man U,
if Liverpool win the they do deserve it, as AC were amazing.

AC wernt exactly amazing, it was Utd that were pathetically poor. Even their own fans and Fergie has admitted that they may as well have not played last night, they just didnt seem to have the desire to win the match.

It deffo wasnt even a shadow of the Utd that put 7 past Roma a few weeks back.

Benitez doesnt realise, you dont win a cup final playing for a draw and you cant win anything without playing strikers who can score (and im not talking about consolation goals).

Playing Kuyt on his own from the start was so negative, we deserved to lose on the basis of doing that, and we paid the price for it.

Kuyt in the first half (when we were totally in command and had plenty of chances) may as well not even have been playing, he was absolutely useless, and he had about as much chance of scoring as Chelsea did of winning the bloody cup last night.

And wtf, at 1-0 that should have been a wake up call to Benitez, but alas he waits until the final 10 to bring on Crouch?? And brings on Arbeloa in the final 10 too?? Jeeze, when you are 2-0 down you dont piss about replacing defenders with defenders, he could have easily bought Bellamy on, whose pace against not only the tiring, but also ageing Milan defence would have caused serious problems.

Im sorry but Benitez played last nights game for a draw full stop. Im not sure if he just wanted it to go to penalties or what, but we did not deserve it at all on the basis of team selection of tactics. Unfortunatly the whole team (bar Buyt who was anonymous for most of the game) gave everything they had, with Gerrard seeming like our only "striker" (he's a midfielder ffs), and without a real striker we were never going to score freely against a side like Milan.

On the night Milan deserved it. They didnt even play especially well, we probably played better, but we played so negatively we were never going to win it.
