Hi all, so today i went to view a Nissan 300zx gen 1. The guy told me it was a twin turbo but i can only find these on the net in single turbo. Its an 89 model with digi dash, 3.0, V6, SOHC & Turbo I know to check rear suspension, boot floor, fuel injector seals and digital dash (having proper look tomorrow). I Know theres a few of you here that love these cars so i was wondering if anyone knew the performance of these please? 0-60, etc & if theres anything else i should look out for. Thanks  Ps its been off the road for 3 years. Engine looks mint. Rear of body is knackered (by the lights).

Heres some stats I have found on the net ( from here): Year - Model - 0-60 - 1/4 Mile 1985 Nissan 300ZX Turbo (auto) 7.4 15.7 1987 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 8.8 16.5 1989 Nissan 300ZX 7.1 15.5 1990 Nissan 300ZX 7.1 15.5 1990 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 6.5 15.0 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo 5.6 14.1 Not entirely sure which one applies to your model. Hope thats some help until the Nissan experts can give ye some answers lol.

Yes, i think thats the 2cd gen one (z32) Thanks for that.
i dont think a non turbo series 1 would do 0-60 in 7secs because i`m pretty sure they are a heavier car.

Added a couple more. The automatic Turbo version of the Gen1 did 7.4 seconds, and the 1988 and 1989 Gen1 were apparently an extra 5BHP due to a turbo change?? So maybe 7 secondsish is a possibility, especially if its a manual?

Just found this on Wikipedia it has a T25 turbo (88-89) Which results in the powergain. This ones an Auto, T-Top

Right, thats it, this video has made my mind up for me, every car can be fixed if your willing to spend the dough, right? F**k it, am gonna get it anyway, specially since its an 89 205 BHP model. Z31 Video The handlings unreal!

every car can be fixed if your willing to spend the dough, right? correct, within reason lol. Dont buy it if its gonna cost ya a mint to fix things though unless ya gettin it at a great price, impulse buying can be bad for ye wealth lol. If ya find that it needs loads doin to it, it may be better to look for one that doesnt.
