On a chilly morning in west London, a gaggle of schoolchildren dress up in sunflower T-shirts as part of a bizarre publicity offensive for speed cameras.

The group that runs cameras in the capital, the London Safety Camera Partnership (LSCP) is handing out sunflower seeds to every primary school in the capital to celebrate the 1,500 people who have been saved from death and serious injury by speed cameras in the past five years.

A very interesting read. As far as im concerned if they save just one life, they are more then worth it.

The only people who don't like speed camera's are the people who speed, and therefore break the law.

Verytrue.

The only problem i have with speed camara's is they seem to have replaced the police car.

When i 1st started driving 10years ago there where plenty of police on the beat and in the cars but as we become a bigbrother state you see alot less.

I dont agree with the camaras going up where there have neverbeen any crashes though.

Bugs me that too binkycoop!
Speed cameras, well i like and hate the idea. Good for enforcing speed limits although the report has seen this doesn't really work too well.
I just hate the idea that sometimes you've been too busy watching the multitude of idiots around you, you've missed the speedlimit change sign and end up braking hard, and doing what i just said bugs me!
