You are probably better with Photoshop mate, paintshop pro is quite basic and wouldn't achieve quite similar quality pics.
The best way to learn a program is to mess with it. Open it and see what stuff does.
There is plenty of good tutorials on the net to get you started

Download the tryout of the latest version. http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp#product=39 You may be able to get a copy from people on filesharing, but i would advise against it, as it isn't exactly legal.

Download Adobe Photoshop CS tryout.
Yes you need to register, it shouldn't take long.
If you want the full version you will either need to buy it or maybe lend it of a mate

Yes, it is just like opening a file, open the program.
file -> open ->choose file

Rossi,get me some class pictures of ur car from about 8 different angles in daylight with the paint lookin clean and even(ie/ no sun reflectin of the whole thing like my display shots) and ill get u some good chops

Yeah the yellow and the black works quite well on your car mate, will definately make it more of a head turner.
