With demise of the tall brick chimney at the old oleo works/mill on the corner of Canning Street and Sandford Street in Birkenhead, I was thinking about how many tall brick chimneys Wirral has left. Staying outside Cheshire I can only think of a few:- The old Carr Lane clay works between Moreton and Meols. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.4000076,-3.1358003,42m/data=!3m1!1e3?entry=ttuBirkenhead High School for Girls by Grosvenor Place, not very tall but it qualifies by style. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.3...6thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttuThe mill by the Irish Ferry https://earth.google.com/web/@53.40...36358d,35y,128.69344763h,59.97118936t,0rThe tunnel ventilation towers, but these aren't traditional chimneys. Any more?

There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. Found another but it may be under threat or gone by now. Typhoo Works, Moreton https://earth.google.com/web/@53.40...48276d,35y,128.61228342h,59.96913981t,0r

Ellesmere Port by the waterways museum.
I always class the canal to Chester as Wirral's southern border!
