I understand that the McColl's in Egremont (the one that used to be a Co-Op) will be closing in January.
Obviously it's a blow to lose a supermarket, but we'll also be losing a Post Office too!
What are we supposed to do if we need to post anything? Cart it all into Liscard?

Part of the Tory and EU rundown, gradual closure of all public services.
There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. Well I'm not sure I can blame the Tories for McColl's closing, regardless, I would have expected some local pushback against the closure of a Post Office, guess people don't care any more.

The Tories and the EU forced the Post Office to separate and privatise its mail delivery, The Post Office is still Government owned, Royal Mail as it is now was privatised.
Which part of the two services is the most strategic asset?
McColls is owned by Morrisons, they are closing down seven out of the twenty McColls on the Wirral Peninsular.
