Who remembers The Star in Rock Ferry near the junction of New Chester Road and St Pauls Road?

Wasn't there also a pub called the The Standard near there?

I just looked at Google Maps and you're right. Although they show it next to a sweet shop (but I don't know how old their photos are).

The Star was my dad's watering hole.

I think the Star is now an antique shop. I went in some months ago and you can still see the pub design, snug, bar etc! Fascinating! And I remember the Royal Standard, you had to go up a couple of steps to the pool table!

Star Hotel, Rock Ferry is currently empty and on sale for £275K, this includes the storage yard which is current container rental.

Last sold in 2017 for £117K
