I was offered a routine appointment (nothing to do with covid and non-urgent) at Mill lane in Wallasey for Monday, but asked them to delay it until I've had my Covid vaccine. I really don't want to visit a medical centre unnecessarily.

They were happy to agree to this, but I wonder whether I was being over-nervous about the whole thing. What do you think?

Not at all Ex, do what you feel is best and safest, I decided do do a shop this morning, went at 8.30 to Lidle big mistake, they have altered the shop around everyone wandering up and down and then finding what they wanted bunching up, no distancing no one way system.

I agree totally, you are doing the right thing in my mind.

I've seen a few places that supposedly have "safe environments and procedures" and I wasn't impressed.

Of course you are never totally safe but if you keep on knocking off a few percentages of risk here and there they add up.

If you live or have contact with others its not just your own safety you are playing with.

I agree if the appt was not urgent you are much better staying safe. I have a letter from my dentist to make a routine appointment which i will leave aside. I had my first jab last Saturday but the figures coming through tell me to go nowhere that there will be other people close by.

Non-urgent appointment? No-brainer - stay safe. Don't go anywhere you don't have to go, for the time being. That's not nervous, it's sensible. If you went, you'd only spend days worrying in case you'd picked something up.

Casper I know what you mean about the supermarket - I remember how confused I was when all the Christmas stuff came into Sainsburys and loads of stuff moved, just when you don't want to be wandering round like a lost soul looking for what you need.
