The boards on the bottom of the drawer just need securing. The bed itself is very sturdy and well made. NOTES: The headboard has been dismantled from the bed, but the rest of the bed is in one piece. Please only ask for it if you have the transport to take it away, I managed to fit it into a large 7 seater with the front seats pushed as far forward as they could go. I doubt it would fit into anything smaller.
