Just received an email lnforming me that there was an error in my licence payment and need to pay by the 28th - click here etc links. ( Was paid last October)

We're sorry to let you know that the TVLicence could not be automatically renewed.
We tried to take the latest payment from your bank account but we encountered an error, so you must pay the amount by setting up a new Direct Debit.
Renew your licence before it expires on Thursday, 28 May 2020 to avoid prosecution.

Yes had one similar months back the letter looked very official and convincing, the unwary could easily be duped especially if it is around renewal time.

Also be very aware of Coronavirus scams .... 2,057 victims have lost a combined total of £4,690,536 to coronavirus-related scams. There have been 11,206 reports of coronavirus phishing scams.
