Does anyone know what a plane is doing constantly circling over the bidston docks area, at least that sounds like where its coming from. You can't tell if that's where it is because of the low lying clouds. It was doing it from 22:00 last night until at least 07:00, and its back again.
Looked online everywhere, only found one twitter user asking Liverpool airport, without any success, plus another person asking about it in the Wallasey gossip Facebook group, with a lot of replies, but no definitive answer. It seems it kept a lot of people awake. Pretty sure there are laws against aircraft flying at such hours.

Police helicopter ? or drone.. wasnt there a barge that had slipped its moorings drifting in the River

I've heard this on several nights since, and one night, perhaps last Sunday, it even sounded like pile driving noises coming from the same direction.

Its a ship in the docks, its generators are a tad noisy and its had a prolonged stay. The Council have approached them to see if anything can be done.
