Gosh last post nearly 3 years ago. Current renewal price with Saga who have been with awhile £270. Compare the market cheapest £190 and about 30 other insurers less. Doesn't pay to be loyal..additional year no claim and they put it up 8%.

LV are pretty good at the moment and are negotiable on price.
Had the same with Saga, they were never the cheapest but not a bad price then their prices got silly.
It was the AA that started all this nonsense off, they tried to capture the majority of the car insurance market with low prices (I seem to remember their target overt 60% of the market) but after they failed to attract as many as they thought they would they started to go for the renewal trap instead.
I use a specialist broker for some of my vehicles and even they struggle to get decent prices in Merseyside these days.
There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music.
