Prairie dog at the bison waterhole. They are eating like there is no tomorrow. Winter coming and it gets very cold.

So cross ! Stayed up late again to see the magnificent sunset in Bison land. Grasslands National Park, but really wanted to see the northern lights so set the alarm ,slept through it and missed them again .
Got some amazing pics of the cloud formations and sunset. They are constantly changing. Here are a few. Hope it's not too boring folks.

They are 7 hours behind us so there's only 'highlights' on at the moment as it's pitch black now.

Oh I have just been looking at those little Cubs , so so cute and I was trying to figure out how I could post it up on here. Talk about great minds think alike eh, lol.. Thanks Granny x

These sunrises and sunsets in all these places are breathtaking, love them.

Those little Cubs belong to Beadnose and they get called by the forumn the beadettes, nice eh.

log on to site. click camera icon top right. press arrow to download. it brings a picture up you have taken. close that then scroll down and click 'done' and then 'done' again. go to 'snapshot gallery', then 'my snapshots'. It should be there, open it up, click on copy and then paste it on here as normal pasting of pics.
p.s. you don't have to make a comment on it when it asks.

Welcome to Katmai Country


Katmai National Monument was established in 1918 to protect the volcanically devastated region surrounding Mount Katmai and the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. Today, Katmai National Park and Preserve remains an active volcanic landscape, but it also protects 9,000 years of human history as well as important habitat for salmon and thousands of brown bears.

The bison are coming in. Don't know how long it will take though !

How did you take a video, Cools ? Beautiful. my button for taking pics is not working, along with many others. So annoyed.

I think the bison have gone in the other direction now.
