I have just given up being nice and gracious and tolerant with my ISP Virginmedia...they are about to get both barrels for such a poor service-- even though it might just be the box they provided. Dropping connection about 10 times a day is more than anyone can take.

So Lent starts on Wednesday and I wondered what you`re giving up this year? Added to the usual chocolate I will also give up crisps.

There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.
