The Accords are a H22s The 1.8s and non Type R cars are F Series engines and not really performance orientated. The H22 is similar to the K20 as fitted to the Civic Type R - the engine is quite different from the B Series and the conversion is more complicated.

Ye Accords are h22's and a Grrr to put in a civic I heard. I may need to go for a trip round a few breakers yards, see if i can find any bargains Also my wheels are for sale if anyone is interested

Looks like a nice project Having only ever delt with B Series lumps, in not 100% on the d to b series swap, but a few things worth checking... Loom and ECU - do you need one from the B Series the motor came from? Gear linkage? Clutch - is the B18C4 hydraulic? Shafts - are the shafts interchangeable or do you need the B16 / 18 shafts and hubs? Had the car been a VTi then it would have been a lot easier, but as its a D series, Im not sure how much on the car will work with the B18 motor.

Im using a p28 ecu with a b18c4 basemap with a conversion harness to use my loom Driveshafts, gearbox and gear linkages all came with the swap Everything should be covered just need to get it in

Happy days Swap the inlet before you fit the motor (If its not too late, cancel the Blox one and get a DC2 one - Blox and Skunk2 are Type R copies anyway ) - there is a support bracket under the manifold and when the motor is in the car, it can be a pig to get at ...and dont forget to take pics, lots of pics - we like pics

Definately swapping it before i put the motor in. I changed the inlet on my d-series with a better one whilst the engine was in and it was a nightmare! Thanks for the advice Stu! Wish i had a Teg Id love some of those polycarb windows but im a bit skint atm! Maybe next year Il get loads of pics dont worry

Ended up going for the blox intake manifold from H-tune Took the old Inlet mani bracket off the back which wasnt needed Also bought a jdm 96 spec 2.5" mani. Will do for now until i get a stainless one And some new jdm wheels - Go Zeegans! about 2.6lbs lighter and 15 inch which is better for track. They are 50 profile though so look quite chunky. They do need a refurb and one wheel the paint is fuberd and all the polished lips are pitted but its another little project Engine conv is starting this w/e Bit worried incase something goes wrong or i forget something though! Need to transfer the ek3 engine loom onto the b18c4 engine once it is out. Anyone know how hard this is?
