I'm taking the engine out with wayne in a couple of weeks.I've booked the engine hoist off him. Then the engine bay is getting cleaned. Then we're welding it and filling it to make it all smooth. I need a new bonnet and 2 new doors as well as all door cards.
There is still a bit of work to do. Oh yeah, it also need new coolant hoses.

Always have liked my mk2's, Iv had 2, A 1.8 GTi and then a 1.6 driver but put a GTi engine in it  First joined this site when i had the one lol Keep us updated mate

Hi there, I was having a nose at this, on Saturday, went to Ken Rice's to see Wayne and tweak the mini Have a play with his tools !  Its a shame about the fire, at least only the rear lense melted and nowt else. Nice motor, Love the Gti also with the BBS's. Tom

Sound man, I'm seeing wayne next week to borrow the engine hoist so i can get the engine bay welded up. The other Gti is soon to be mine aswell
