I don't think that curve of rubber came from the lorry tyres, its too narrow and no side-slip, he'd have clipped the signpost if he'd been leaning over much in that direction and position.
As the road has a positive camber there, I'd guess he's had a load shift in the trailer when he's turned sharply, possibly someone's shot out the junction and cut him up - all conjecture, we shall see.

I loathe that roundabout at the best of times. Can't have been the wind. I love it, especially in my rear wheel drive 3.0 litre
