I read an obituary of a WW2 soldier who had been stationed on the Dee marshes near to Sealand and the Summers steelworks. He had shot down a low-flying Dornier with his rifle.
I saw the obituary about two years ago but whether it was newly published or an older publication I cannot say. Regrettably I did not copy the article.
Can anyone provide any further information?

Thanks Bert. I was beginning to wonder whether I'd dreamt it.
That's another piece of WW2 history of the Dee marshes, to go with the RAF target practice structures and the bombing decoys to fool the Luftwaffe.
