A Wirral hairdressers’ was “named and shamed” by the Government as part of a new crackdown on employers who fail to pay their staff the national minimum wage.

Renaissance, in Telegraph Road, Heswall , underpaid three workers a total of £7,310.

My daughter was getting £2.60/hour--Apprenticeship scheme approved by Government.
My lad works in a charity shop and doesnt get paid and doesnt even get his bus fare paid for--thats well below the minimum wage.
The hairdressers should ask for volunteers and then give them some gifts (not wages)
I sometimes do work for less than the minimum wage but its my choice to and keeps the money coming in. I quote a job at £x and it takes me longer to do it.

It is a mystery to me why people don't complain whilst working in a business rather than reporting to the authorities when they leave. Maybe the employer is a bully or maybe they give a "bit of cash in hand" to save national insurance.
Hairdressers tried to get out of minimum wage when it was first introduced by saying the tips were part of the wage.

Any evidence that I'm "gloating" as you claim?

The description of this section is:

Local News
Its the Local News that's made the News Papers or Web News.
If you have read it post it.

I read it, I posted it. Its called being part of a community. If you don't like it, attack the message, not the messenger.

Or is it something else, like because I didn't use you when I wanted some work doing on my car:

For balance and fairness I expect you to post on this thread:

https://www.wikiwirral.co.uk/forums...an_suffers_head_injuries.html#Post874972

And ask why Willo is "gloating" over this head injury? Same with all the other threads in this section.

They are breaking the law by not paying the minimum wage, the excuse being that it was a mix up with the apprentice PAYE scheme, a scheme which in fact benefits the employer, they are a disgrace and deserve to be named and shamed, and if you sir/madam support what they have done then you too should be ashamed, as to your crass comment lucky to have a job, it highlights what a thoughtless person you are. yes

I saw that Update to the story but totally dis-inclined to believe it after the posts from what appears to somebody known to the slave drivers.
