I lived in Wilson Street from birth to it being demolished (about 12 months) we were moved to Wilkinson Street which was also demolished about 2-3 years later. I obviously have no memories of it so sorry to gegg in!

I’ve just been trying to find out where Wilson Street is, or was, in Birkenhead, as my grandfather William Kavanagh lived at no. 9 in 1904 when he married Bridget Watters. Csn’t find it anywhere? Can you help? Angela

St John street and Hemingford street with Thompsons mission and the school building are still in that area if you do a google search for a more modern view to where Wilson street was. Please look at maps posted earlier in this thread
