Merseyside firefighters walk out in pensions dispute.

FIREFIGHTERS across Merseyside have staged two further walkouts as part of an ongoing dispute over pay and pensions.

A five-hour strike by members of the Fire Brigades Union on Friday night was followed by a two-hour walkout this morning.

The action was in response to government plans to make firefighters work up to 60.

privatisation is knocking at the door , the same door that if you have no insurance then you aren't being saved , who will pay for that private fire service then .how much do you reckon it will cost to put a fire out and rescue someone when there is a profit to be made , I hope you ( 19frank40 )are ok with paying for a fat cat fire service that wants to make a profit out of your misery .the government have sold out the fire service /police force /the ambulance and health service .
those things you take for granted now wont be around if no-one stands up to this corrupt government .

How quickly people forget when Labour attacked the fire services and Prescott wasted around £10billion on those fire control centres that were never used, always wondered why they renamed the fire stations,"Community fire station" all that money wasted on signage that Labour could have used pay for something to do with the Fire Service.

Never heard a whisper from the Firemen when Brown took £10billion a year out of private pensions for 10 years, pensions come out of a current account and not a savings account, a prudent Chancellor would have sorted that bit out, but Brown saved the world so we must happy with that.

I would like to see some of you lot handling heavy ladders and fire hoses under pressure at 60 years of age, its a joke expecting them to do that. Very few office jobs so they cant all go there. This country is governed by clowns.

1/ scumbag champagne socialist prescot and sadiq kahn are now costing the taxpayer 20 k a month times all the regional centres in a mass waste on PFIS on fire controls....we'll be paying for years for these white elephants.
2/a fireman after five years gets under a hundred pound a shift, youd pay more for a plumber or painter
3/ yes they can retire at 55 after 30 years in the job they've paid 300 a month for the "right" to, private sector workers pay just 5/6% of their salary
4/in 2006 scumbag labour asked them to sign for the new rip off pension or the good old one....saying its all sorted, NOW its you pay more, get less and work longer just cause we say.....its got to be fought against NOW otherwise the next scumbags will move the goal posts again to rape the pot AGAIN !!!
5/the average salary of CFO in uk brigades has massively risen/while no pay rise for FFS, up to a ridiculous 150/200k a year !!! do they really need that?? are they worth that?
6/research what ASSET CO did in London LFB with their private company raping of a public service.....do you want more of that?
7/do we really want G4S running the fire service with even lower min staffing on less pay with contracted equipment and trucks and if youre in a flood or RTA a half hr wait for enough staff to cut you out a car or to be able to safely lift a 100 kg ladder to recue you???....
8/ firefighters deaths at jobs have risen 500 % in the last ten years? wonder why?
9/FFS have had their pay frozen for years
10/is a FF on 6 pound an hour gonna risk his neck for you when his CEO boss gets a million a year?
10/in 2015 many FFS will be taking miss selling of pension contracts to court, why not?
their pension statement says "you get X" but now its "you get y"
not acceptable if a bank gives it you...so why the government then?

Sorry mate its all ready been tried and failed, look at asset co getting LFB into the madness situation of bailiffs coming to take fire trucks to pay bills because off shore speculators haven't made enough share profit that month.
I tell you now G4S SERCO Capita parasites would LOVE to run the fire services.
Its actually been tried by this ... gov already but it got stopped by the FBU and highlighted to ministers.

People don't understand the jobs been broke down to just 4 bods on a truck and the actual practicalities at an incident for work over load for the officer in charge and the million and one jobs to do driver is simply DANGEROUS !

I mean scumbag Cameron had the nerve to shake FFS hands after London riots yet wants to rob their pensions.
In a recent midlands yard fire there was just ONE truck left covering 2 million homes.......I bet hes proud.

Woodchip panels bought by the Service also went missing and the former Chief Fire Officer Peter Craig defied his boss’s orders by refusing to return a Land Rover loaned by a major car dealership to the service.

Now the Service has issued a statement to scotch rumours that a luxury sauna had been partly dismantled and removed from a Fire Service property so it could be installed in an officer’s house.

Dear Frank if its just down to simple sums that balance out perfectly, life aint like that , mps wouldnt get all their pensions after five mins and 65 k a year.
