It looks like a american bulldog, but is slightly smaller than most I've seen, and is bigger than a staffie.
(Next time I see it I'll take a picture for you edd ;))
Maybe it's a cross between between the two breeds??
If the silly moo who walked it kept it under control, ie on a lead, and muzzled while off the lead, it would not be such a danger.
And yes some obedience training/socialisation would not go amiss... for the stupid owner as well as the dog.

But then if it's charging up to hump other dogs, and knocking tots off bikes then it shouldn't be off the lead at all.

Think i came across this today 19:00 it ran up took my sons football and chewed it to bits. The owner blonde (long at the back). She could not get the dog to give up the ball and her only response was "i will have to get you a new one" she said this as soon as the dog took it, the dog ran up the other end of the park. The ball was ruined when she finally retrieved it then carried on her way with her dog still unleashed ....

This is not going to end good i fear. The dog does what it wants. never good with a dog that can easily overpower a human.

I've seen it do that it's the same dog & girl no control & the dog should be on a lead, that's why I stay away from her I always go the other way when I see her apart from the day she came running up behind me

You should not have to do that Starakita.

As for you Rover, you should of grabbed her mobile phone, smashed it on the floor hard and said "I will have to get you a new one". smile

Just a quick note (apologies if slightly off-topic)...

If anyone has read Rover's comments and blushed with shame because they too own a dog that is a Wirral Ball Thief (not uncommon), then here's a tip: get your dog say a tennis ball of their own to play with, and make sure you keep it with you on your walks.

Then if your dog nicks a ball off another dog or from kids playing, make a big show of how You have His/Her ball - maybe chuck it in the air and catch it - calling their name - and if this fails to make your dog run back to you, chuck the ball just a little way for them to chase - but not so far away that you can't pick it up again first... they will normally drop the ball they have pinched so that no-one else can get Their Precious Ball...

Of course I am in no way trivialising the actions of Dumboblondie's dog, he is out there in a league of his own and a Bad Hat for sure, and I'm not pretending to know anything more than b*gger all about dog training, it's just a tip another dog owner gave us way back when our one of our dogs was the Wirral Ball Thief Champion, and it certainly worked with him.

that didn't work with dumb blondies dog,I saw her try that in the end she just sat down while her dog was running round with the football.Sooner she is relieved of the dog the better.

Yes starakita sadly he is a Bad 'un.

Our boy was little more than a puppy at the time, and it was a behaviour he tried for size and grew out of.

My dog was a handful when I got her,she was in the kennels for 6 months so she was quite excitable but she is a lot calmer now.I couldn't go near other dogs at first but she's mostly ok with them now but she's always on a lead, she only gets off when were on the beach & its quiet & walking over the dips.wish dumb blond would get her dog trained it would make life more pleasant for other park users
