No Cuts to our Terms and Conditions.
Protest march and Lobby of the Cabinet. Monday 18th Febuary 2013 4.45pm- assemble at Seacombe Ferry.

The Councils ruling cabinet commitee meets to decide on what cuts to our pay and other terms and conditions are to be imposed. Unite is totally opposed to these plans and we intend to fight hard to defend our conditions of employment and the services that we provide to the people of Wirral.

We need as many workers to attend the lobby as possible to ensure that the councillors are left in no doubt about the real consequences for loyal workers that their disgraceful proposals will have. Don't let them off the hook, be there and make a noise.

Regardless of the mess Wirral Council have got themselves in, that is not the fault of their rank & file workers, the terms & conditions of whom are rightly considered possessions.

Attacking their possessions is the same as the government saying "we are a bit skint so we are taking your television & laptop"! Nobody would reasonably put up with theft of their possessions, and Wirral Council workers are no different.

I salute their fight!

we also need people to turn up who aren't employed by the Council, cuts to terms and conditions of any workers are wrong and will have an adverse effect on our community as a whole. These cuts will be staggered over 3 years so ther's a lot more pain to come.
