There was graffiti back then, the tunnels were so easy to get into I think every kid in the North End had been down them. We went down on three separate occasions between 1970 and 1974. After that the Council made it a lot harder to get in. We went in through the main entrance twice and in through the brick square at the top of the air shaft once. We spent ages trying to get the door open of the emergency exit corridor. See you in cyberspace!
