Does anybody remember that stall in Birkenhead Market, on 'Fish Row'? Its now a paper shop.
Used to sell fresh, cooked in front of you Doughnuts?
I think you got 6 for 50p? As a kid I was mesmericed by the production machine.
I also remember that the people who 'had' the shop had super glued coins on their 'serving counter'.

I to remember staring at the doughnut machine, Wasn't a fan of them as a kid so if i do remember they sold mr whippy ice cream.

Thats being ripped off, 360 calories in fat and sugar £3.00 for 1 lol ,they smell delicious but i see lips . hips wouldn`t touch one because of this coz

I don't remember the one in the market but do recall a doughnut making machine in Kwiksave, prenton and used to love watching the blob of dough going into the fat and then coming out on the conveyor belt....delicious

I certainly remember the stall! Funnily enough my son said only the other day that that's about the only thing he can remember about the Wirral.  We left when he was about 9, 20 odd years ago. Shame it's no longer in the market then but at least that saves me hunting it down when we are next home.
