Trains between West Kirby and Birkenhead North suspended due to an above incident. Bus service is being requested but these WILL NOT call at Hoylake Merseyrail Station.

just come through Hoylake there are about 4/5 ambulances and police all parked up on Market Street no lights on staff must be at station. So don't think it is someone hit by train but looks like something serious

Dare I say it, someone on Wirral talk has said it looks like someone's threatening to do something?

I spoke to some of the lads who attended the incident. Apparently, some man climbed up onto the station roof and was threatening to jump on the line. Merseyrail cut the power, thus stranding a train at West Kirby. He didn't want to talk to police officers, only to the security guards. I don't think he trusted the boys in blue. It all seems to have stemmed from a domestic incident. I think the trains were stopped for around 6 hours with nothing going passed Bidston.

What are your thoughts on this people?

Would you have cut the power?

I wouldn't, in fact I would of ignored said roof protester and carried on with my job.
People have work to get to, they cannot be late with an excuse of "a man threatened to jump off a roof".

Health and safety laws, human rights, all way over the top these days.

I can't help but feel that it wouldn't be very nice, having to witness someone being frizzled, or for the folks who have to pick the bits up. So maybe it's in the interest of self preservation!
