This Sunday there is a Memorial Service for the crew and Cammell Lairds workers who were lost on the Thetis in 1939 on June 1st. It is at the Birkenhead RNA Club, Park Road East and the club is open from 1200 onwards, the service will be about 1245. If you are coming you are welcome in the bar for drinks afterwards and you might be surprised at which of your old acquaintances are there.
