I remember a shop called Pollocks in Grange rd west which sold prams, and as kids we used to like to like climb up and change the P to a B. Happy days.

12 Oxton Road to be precise (almost opposite Rostances). The frontage was baby blue and pink. They also had branches at Wallasey Rd, Wallasey and Renshaw St, Liverpool.

What year was Pollocks in Oxton rd, I am talking about 1939 or 40 when Grange rd west was posh, after it deteriorated a lot of shops moved or closed. It was on a corner of a street that led down to Claughton rd. It was in its day a posh shopping centre and it was nothing to see chauffeur driven cars taking people shopping.
