Hi, Does anyone know of any part-time jobs available? I am a teacher who took early retirement in order to have a career change. I desperately need a part-time job because it's impossible to live on my pension! I have applied for countless jobs without even getting an interview. I have many transferrable skills and just want to be given a chance.I'd be so grateful if anyone could help. Thank you.

I am probably going to be vilified for my opinion but shouldn’t you have worked out that your pension wouldn’t stretch far enough or lined up another job in your chosen change of career path before giving up your, undoubtedly, well paid teaching job through boredom? That is an assumption, the boredom part, why else would a well-paid teacher give up a job for an uncertain future?

Hi, thanks for your replies I've registered with all the agencies Paul listed but I'm going to contact 'Reachout' so thanks for that SallyBear and to Crocodile Dundee I did realise I'd have to work to suppliment my pension and I'm a registered supply teacher. I had more work than I could handle to start with but there's hardly any supply work at all now due to schools' financial situations which no-one could predict 3 years ago. I certainly didn't leave because of boredom because, as any teacher will tell you, teaching is NEVER boring!!!!!
