The bald patches was were there was blemishes in the paint a deep scratches etc... so i took it right back to the metal and its all fine now. Its escalated in size due to constant rubbing with the wet sandpaper. Used P320 to take off the paint and to bring it to feathering, then use 800 to feather it and polish it up. Ive put the boot indoors out of the moist garage so it should be fine rust wise. !And breath!

Once the rear is sorted Im taking out the engine and gearbox for a good clean up and to make sure everything runs as it should. Got a problem with the gearbox at the moment, wont change from 2nd to 3rd!
