AN eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being in collision with a motorbike near to a Wirral school this morning.
The incident happened at around 8.50am on Whetstone Lane, Birkenhead by Woodlands Primary School.
Police say the child was conscious at the scene but was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital by ambulance to be treated for facial injuries.
The road was re-opened just before 10am. Hope hes OK

I hope the biker was ok too.
Sometimes Police Officers give more than just speeding tickets!

i agree wench the drivers/riders often get forgotten and only mentioned when its their fault!

He was alone with his brother that morning crossing over the road the police that attended the scene were comforting his brother who was very upset they werent with any adults at the time.

There are two lollypop people on Derby Road so there is no excuse unless the rider ignored the crossing guard. I am not blaming the rider, I am just offering a hypothesis.

Or maybe the kids didn't look properly  It wouldn't be the first time and certainly won't be the last!!
