You need to look at the law a little closer. Paedophilia relates to children. People under the age of 12. ie; not teenagers. ie; not relating to this story.

I wiki'd this to make sure and found that people interested in younger teens (13-15) is called Hebephilia and people interested in older teens (16-19) is called Ephebophilia.

Depends if your talking about medical, legal or English definition.

However still taking all that into account this male who was in his forties was talking in a sexual nature to girls under age whilst pretending to be younger, he also exchanged photo's and as said in article “He exposed young and vulnerable girls to potential psychological harm".

At the end of the day we have the right to expect people in high profile public jobs to have some integrity, this bloke has proved he hasn't so he shouldn't even be cosidered for that type of job. You can bleat on about others being the same, politicians etc, and you can go on about him having done his time but he has proved himself to be untrustworthy. He either knows where all the bodies are buried or he is on the square, he is being looked after.

When have the powers that be EVER considered you & me in their decision making?

I think you may have just sacked the European Parliament, our own Parliament and half the Senior Civil Service there mate
