Just seen this in the Wirral News.. Just shows the lack of concern and judgement involved in the NHS when they employ a male Doctor struck off for posing as a teenage girl on the internet so that he could swap explicit emails and photos with teenage girls.. he's now been put in charge of reshaping Merseyside's NHS. WTF http://www.wirralnews.co.uk/wirral-...gets-top-mersey-nhs-job-100252-29477872/

If he's done the time for the crime, and he can somehow help the NHS though, which no doubt he will as he's been assigned to the job ... ? You had CEO's of banks who swindled 3/4 trillion dollars who got less punishment.

I wouldn't say: The review is looking at reducing the amount of hospitals that can perform vascular surgery in the region. is a top job, he's just doing the job of a consultant. Also, seeing as he's a real piece of work anyway, he seems fit for the job. Paying money for a crew of researchers to reduce services? Duhhh.

Surely he loses all right to a decent life, I mean not once but 26 times, it's a disgrace that he can get a job in the NHS.

Surely he loses all right to a decent life Ah c'mon, it's not like he hurt anyone. Ban him from using machines attached to the internet and problem solved.

As a father to a teenage girl and 2 younger girls, if I found out a perv was posing as a teenage girl and talking in a sexual nature to them then in my eyes he loses the right to a decent life. Just because he never met these girls should not make light of the crime and the sexual nature of it, these girls will have to live with this forever and should never have been exposed to conversations of the type. In my eyes he is a perv and they lose rights in my opinion.

He should of gone on to the pedo register cos if he hadn't of been caught he could of taken it that step further! I would not have him round my daughters and he shouldnt have a job in the nhs at all its a disgrace! Its ok people saying he's done his time for the crime how many of these pedo's offend again and again it is very wrong!

You're all making theoretic claims which have no grounds in this. Yes, if he had slept with 12 year old girls, which he didn't, he's just a dirty pervert with that tag for the rest of his life, which is probably worse than a murderer in today's society. If he's been punished for pretending to be a girl, then why should he be ostracised completely? He's obviously good at his job and if it's benefiting the country on a larger scale? Nobody had been hurt by his actions, I doubt the girls in this matter are bothered in the slightest. You can't just stick anyone on a paedophile register (Sex Offender's Register).

I doubt the girls in this matter are bothered in the slightest. It annoys me that people seem to think that a teenager would remember/care about this even a week after it happened. It's totally ridiculous. It's as if parents don't know that teenagers take pics of themselves without persuasion. o.O

This is typical of the NHS - cock up and you get a top job.

Exo: When a grown man or woman has sexual conversations with a minor I just dont see how anyone can say the minor wouldn't care, this male was one step from trying to meet these girls or another one if you look at how the experts say they normally go down the road. He obviously is curious about sexual encounters with young girls and just because he hasn't actually touched a young girl he was certainlly on the road to grooming.

this male was one step from trying to meet these girls Really? Does it say that somewhere in the article or are you assuming? He must have been really shit at what he was trying to do if he failed to meet the 25 girls the article mentions. Perhaps he didn't intend to meet anyone and was just after pics? Though that doesn't make much sense either, if he knew how to pass himself off as a young girl he must have known where to find pics of girls anyway. Maybe it was a conquest type of thing. Not that it matters, my point is there's nothing that points towards him trying or wanting to meet any of the girls he talked to. The rest of your post just tells me you're out of touch with what you're trying to talk about. At 13 I was regularly cybering online with women that were undoubtedly older than me. It's stupidity to think that if that was going on a dozen years ago it hasn't grown in popularity since then with the technological advances we have today (laptops with cameras, mobiles with cameras..). It was just something to do in the downtime, pretty sure it didn't mentally damage me. Know why? Cause everyone else did it to. Gasp, secret revealed!

Nice editing of my post, missed out the bit were I said that experts see this behaviour as a road to trying to meet people (grooming). I also never said it didn't happen years ago or dont think it's happening today or more often. What I do believe is that if an adult poses as a child online to have sexual conversations and exchange photo's then in my opinion (and law) it is paedophillia.

Idiots - how do they expect the public to have any confidence in their management of the NHS with this type of rediculous decision making. Total f'wits
