well what a day! Went to the hospital for tests {on the old ticker} this morning, as it was early ann and i got the bus to liscard {day out}it was a good day for bargains!,the charity shops didn,t have any model figures for the m.a.r railway {as usual}, but i did manage to get some model figures and road signs and more lolly sticks from the cake creations store by c.a.b {Thanks julie}. And then ann got me a greendale rocket engine/coach/mail van i know it looks a bit toy looking but with the m.a.r railway touch?,i will make the coach and mail van into a narrow gauge coach and the van into a guards van?.Anyway here is some pictures.cheers mike/ann x....

not rarely its just the brain going into hyper-drive!, anything to keep these headaches i have sometimes at bay .I,ve already stripped the mail van down! its going to have a white roof and i have took the royal mail letters off the side,s so i can put m.a.r letters on and the doors will be painted brown And the body is still going to be red. It will have the colours a bit like the TALYLLYN narrow gauge railway guards van in west wales. And then i will pull all the wheels off and lower the chassis so i can stick a OO gauge chassis in!. And hey presto! a narrow gauge guards van. And then the same to the coach!cheers everyone mike..

Its going to be pink with white dots, and sky blue pink. being a private light railway, like real narrow gauge railways colours/paint is what they can afford every penny counts in running costs and maintanance.If i won the lottery?? i,d buy a big house with lots of land and have my own steam railway!.So at the moment building this layout is the nearest to it in my wish list, ive took the mail van to bits and found that now im putting a narrow wheel base on the van is now top heavy so a few more bricks/paving slabs inside, just hope? the council don,t notice their missing a few from outside?.take care everyone cheers mike/ann x ...
