I hope someone can help me here! Due to some oik trying to break into my car about 8 months ago, the outside drivers door handle doesn't work. I have had the panel off and the mechanism is behind a sheet of perspex so I can't get at it but I can see that the plastic connector has snapped. Question is, as I am due for an MOT next month, will this be a cause for a fail?
Thanks guys.

Yes, it'll fail.
Door needs to be able to be opened from the outside.
I have the same problem on mine at the moment, due to a snapped cable.

I have arranged for a pal who works at Autoglass to look at mine.
Croc, if you get the part you need I can ask him to fit it for you. He's obviously got the skills and the tools to remove the door cards and other bits and he'll do it for a couple of cans!

Even £41.46 seems steep!
My parts come to £70 odd and that's with BMW added tax!

Try Vaux-World 01772 682 381, if they have its normally about half the price of Vauxhall's
