Theres loads of cool things I had forgotten about in this forum. Will try and think of some more. Keep em comin though!?!

My wife worked at Tesco Bidston Moss from the day it opened till she died in 2001. Was trying to remember the managers name , but he was a naughty boy having "an affair" with one of the ofice staff and got posted to a store in Wales

hellwire; we haven't got a clue what you're talking about in your last few posts. Helpful if you quote the post you're referring to?

When i was a kid in about 1950 me and my mates used to go fishing at a place in PRENTON it was a field with 3 ponds in
It used to be called the three sisters, i think it was off a place called the mile end road
We spent many hours catching Jackies, Sticklebacks & newts,
anybody remember the place
No fares for buses then, we walked there & back from Charring
Cross it seemed miles away in them days

The three sisters ponds were situated opposite the old Woodchurch high school,From the Woodchurch you would walk along carr bridge road until you came to the cinder path then you would towards the railway line which was still steam powered then cross the railway bridge walk a couple of hundred yards you were then at the ponds. The Nocturum did for the ponds :-(

Had a discussion last night, over a pint of course, and the subject came up about the place opposite the Park Entrance, now a furniture shop.
I can remember the snooker hall on the first floor and there was a garage underneath it (a Ford dealership if I remember correctly). Anyway, I couldn't think of the name of the garage. A name of "Sherlock and A N Other" was put forward but I don't remember that as being the names. Anybody got a clue what it was called?
