I went to the Tech as well in 1959/60 as part of my apprenticeship. The Principal then was Charles Victor Vinton Fenton. Known as "Vince". Attention to detail and good manners was his forte. Very much "Old School". You didn't mess around when Vince was on the prowl !

Maybe Vince had just started in '59. Don't recall Moyes at all.

Happy days nevertheless.

I was there 1961-1966. I remember Vince Fenton - you're right, he was a stickler.

C.V.Vinten Fenton was certainly Principal from 1951 to 1957, according to my 'Reports'. No. I'm not going to show them!

Yes Mr Moyes was head of a department, think he was originaly a draughtsman in ship construction. I do know he lived in parkhill road and his wife was a school governer at Prenton Secondary which was renamed Devonshire park {the original name been temple road school}

I was doing Radio & TV Servicing & I only remember one instructor that used to get the same train as I did from Wallasey Grove Road, but don't remember his name.

Before the Pyramids were built there was a church called St.Johns, the road came down from Grange Road and went round either side of the church and was called Huskisson Street.

Does anyone remember the old Co-Op where Asda is on the Woodchurch?

I am pretty sure you used to park on the roof their aswell

But before that it was the Co-Operative Laundry, when the co-op opened there as a store the fixings could still be seen in the floor from the machines
