Hi Ken,Flying a sim will do you no harm,it will give you an idea what to do and what the plane wants to do.The trouble is you have no wind,no depth and speed and other things that happen.Your transmitter setup and engine setup grass length and holes in the ground, sun in your eyes etc etc.Dont let me put you off going down to Arrowe park and joining the club.If you get any radio gear try and get the make called futaba,as that is what most people fly with and will be compatable with yours if you want to learn to fly with a buddy lead{a lead that goes from your transmitter to the persons who is training you and should you get in trouble he flicks a switch and saves your plane..with luck..Go down and have a chat and have a look at the planes ask questions..no one will mind..cheers Dave

sat and sun are best days after or around 11am.lads fly after work too up till 9.30pm on the summer nights, tues and thurs are for electric only that gives the hospital 2 days rest of the noise,The lads get together for indoor flying at Pensby school on a sunday I think? best see some one down the field or go to the wrcfs {wirral radio control flying society}site on the net, that will give you more info. You will need insurance as well.If you join the club for around £70 thats your insurance and BMFA {British model flying association}membership and club fees,we have to rent the park off the council and need things like radio checking gear, tents and a load of other gear,we are quit a healthy club with around 60 members..check us out..Dave
