I got on the bus the other day at the bottom of Ford Hill going to West kirby. I looked at the ticket and it said Sandiway.I've lived in the area for years and don't know of a road with that name.Any ideas about this?It mighht be an old road name-but if so,why hang on to it?Thanking you in advance!

Two Sandiways on the Wirral, one in Bromborough and one in Meols. Don't know how the ticket machines work these days, was it just set for the wrong route? If you know the route number, you can check the stops HERE But we do tend to use local names quite a bit such as "Ford Hill" that you used and "Charing Cross" in Birkenhead.

There's a Sandy Way in Oxton near the girls school MissGuided, but no Sandiways.

lived on the ford as a kid and that stop was known as sandyway then .thats going back 40 years
